     Significant noise reduction

Applications

QuietBoard is a revolutionary, waterproof, cement impregnated, high density tongued and grooved acoustic floorboard designed to improve both the impact and airborne noise transfer through floors.  QuietBoard can be used as replacement floorboards when upgrading the soundproofing of any floor and can be used both beneath and on top of our recycled Acousticel R10 resilient sound insulation to provide a very efficient and stable soundproofed floor that will improve the soundproofing and reduce impact noise.   Cement impregnated chipboard is now specified in the Approved Document E as the best material for this application.  It is quick to install and easily cut to size.

QuietBoard Acoustic Flooring is constructed from two well established building materials - recycled wood particles and cement.  QuietBoard is a very dense product, light grey in colour and both faces have a hard smooth flat surface.  They are non-toxic, contain no flammable materials and generate no toxic fumes in a fire.

Separating floors for new buildings, change of use and conversions.
Due to its unique properties, it can also be used for the base floor fixed directly to joists for enhanced level of soundproofing.
